CENDI Working Groups
CENDI has five standing Working Groups:
Content Management and Access
Deals with archiving and preservation, web metrics, and XML. The coverage of this group includes those topics formerly addressd by the following teams:
- Web Metrics Task Group
- Digital Archiving Task Group
- Cataloging Working Group
- Information Exchange Working Group
- Non-Print/Multimedia Task Group
- Publisher Negotiation Task Group
- Reference Linking Task Group
Science.gov Alliance
Deals with providing improved user access to STI resources throughout the government. Group foci include
- science.gov Core Team
- science.gov Tech Team
- Public Domain Directory
- Subject Analysis and Retrieval
STI Policy Working Group
Deals with intellectual property, database protection, public domain STI, A-130 PRA data quality, and privacy issues. Some of these areas were formerly addressed by:
- Copyright and Intellectual Property Task Group
Education and Training Working Group
Deals with the review of new technologies and security. Formerly, these areas were addressed by:
- Portal Technology Working Group
- User Education Working Group
IT Security and Privacy Working Group
Deals with security and related issues, with a focus on information technology (IT) security.
